well i updated my memory from 1 stick fo 512mb kingston to a matched pair of Corsair XMS pc3200 2x256mb rev 1.2(both sticks)
model number CMX256A-3200C2PT
btw, selling stick of kingston for 50 bux but anyways....

Heres the problem:
I used to be able to run my old kingston memory at a 420mhz fsb rock solid. When i loaded up my corsair memory i put in the "guarenteed" times for and AMD of 2.5-3-3-6 and set the multiplier to 10x200(underclocking my cpu by 80mhz). I boot up the computer and get a BSOD sometimes or sometimes it will load up find and then i will load a prog like 3dmark2001se to run some tests and the program starts but then closes once the tests start. I tried uping the VDIMM from 2.75(default) to 2.90 but that just made stuff worse. Right now im stuck leaving it at 333mhz.

Whats wrong?
How can kingston VALUE ram be better than Corsair XMS?

thanks,
ryan

It might be some conflict between the memory and the chipset or that particular model of motherboard. look into it, try to find some information about what types of ram have been proven to work with your motherboard.
