I don't control the fan speed. It turns the fans off when the system does. I wouldn't wholly believe reviewers, unless they are professional reviews.

If you turn your computer off there should be no reason for any lights beyond the little motherboard power led to be on.

Also, @Mindovermaster Most led fans on the market do not come with a switch to toggle the led's on and off. In fact, that's the first time I''ve ever even seen one.
