with a decent stepping and cooling you are almost guaranteed 2.4ghz with a 45watt mobile chip. if you cant get that then either your ram or mobo is holding you back. with an old epox 8rda3+ i could get 2.4ghz...and that was with manufacturer BIOS. i hope u have fun with it...defiently better than your first 2 mentioned options.
