hmm i think...i do know that it is speed of the memory but you probobly also knew that! :p

Cas is the first number generally 2 2.5 or 3.0

the other numbers are less important but lower is better for all of them except the highest number (i think its TRCD) i've seen multiple tests showing minimal gains if any or sometimes a loss with decreasing that latency. Decreasing it also INcreases the chance of the ram giving errors and causing system stabiliy/operating system corruption.

2-2-2-5 is probably the BEST you could get

i have 2-3-2-6, i don't feel comfortable running 5 TRCD

i say go for some good 2.5 quality name brand ram and u'll be set
but if you're going for best get the XMS line of corsair ram.

what is TRDC? Thanks a bunch I was really lossed. I was looking at the Corsair TwinX 3200 512MB(2x256), two modules because I have dual channel on my mobo. Does mixing ram from different manufacturers change the overall quality or errors? I have the ram listed in my sig and was wonderingf if these two types would work together?

o well i guess my stuff cant be oced cuz it currently at
3 - 3 - 3 - 6
canged to
2 - 3 - 2 - 6
windows dosent boot so i change it to
2 - 3 - 3 - 6
still nutin so i leave it at
3 - 3 - 3 - 6

o well my ram is crap and its sdram pc133 so i wanst expecting too much, soon as i get any money ima go out and buy a new mobo and ram.
