Default Bye Bye TCCD Ram Chips

http://theinquirer.net/?article=21168

Raekwon sent me this article. For those who know about OC'ing RAM you'll know what this article means. For those who aren't all that familiar with RAM IC's (Integrated Circuits) and the PCB boards that are crucial to identifying good RAM this article will help you a little although not so much info on the TCCD's

well hopefully the will be able to create the equivelant in DDR2. Like the article says when BH-5's were wiped out the TCCD's came in right away. They don't think the TCCD's will be replaced by anything that quickly though, but the pressure is on to develope a new IC on DDR2 which can handle those tight latencies. Just imagine the DDR2533 with 'Samsung Fluzies' that are 2-2-2-5 timings. That'd be nice.

Wow, that really blows. I just hope it gets replaced by something better. I hope newegg still has them in stock for the next week.

well they should still be in stock for a decent amount of time, but thanks to supply and demand you can probably bet the prices will raise.

Seems old technology just gets more expensive these days instead of dropping due to it being 'rare' and a lot of people still wanting it, mainly OC'ers

Get everyone all excited then rape them.....that ram costs as much as a 3000+winnie and mobo or more than a 6600gt...lol....I dont think so....something else will come out I'm sure.

yeah that's why I went with the patriot ram at like $215 instead of the OCZ Platinum Rev2s at $275
