built new comp cant boot pls help

i just bought a MSI k8n Neo2 mobo and a amd 3500+ 64 bit socket 939
and i cannot get it to boot wont even go to bios

the board powers up fans turn on, hard discs turn on etc but i just get a blank screen do you think i have a dud cpu ??

i have fairly old ram like 266ddr but i should get some sort of error if thats the problem ??

i tried 2 different graphics cards to see if that was the issue a radeon 9600pro and geforce 2 mx400

i dont know what wattage my powersupply is but runs this computer fine with a 2000+xp and msi k7t266 mobo

i dunno what to do can any one please help me ??

Just to let you know i bought the Neo2 board for a P4 from Newegg and it went up while installing windows...Havent returned it yet. I just ran to bestbuy and bought a becent Abit to get this thing running.
Now that I see someone else having trouble with this board it looks like there may be a serious bug somewhere.
