Hey all,
I have been building computers for 10 years. I have worked on many, but this would be my first time with the new Pentium architecture. I want to know if there is anything I should know when buying the parts for my computer.
I want a Pentium 4. What core should I get? Prescott? Is there more than one core? What about the motherboard? Should I stick with one brand, or get the best deal? The computer will be for video editing so I decided a Pentium is the way to go. Like I said, I've built a lot of AMD systems. What about the memory? Does it have to be a certain kind or can it just be DDR? ECC or Non-ECC?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just a hardcore AMD fan. Never built a Pentium before.
Is there a recommended site to read? If there is, give me the link so I don't waste anyones' time.
Thanks guys,
Dustin
