Post Building a New Computer and need Advice Please

Hey All i am new to this forum so first i would like to say a big hello

Now on to the topic i am wanting to build a new computer the first question is

AMD Athalon or Pentium ? the computer i got now is a AMD and i really like it

second if AMD what chip?

and can some of you please supply a list of what you think would be best for the rest of the computer eg.drives, LCD screen, soundcard, videocard and so on

steven is right.... we need some parameters to go by?

I think if you answer these questions, we can help you better select parts/components, etc.

1) How much do you want to spend on your new computer?
2) What is the main focus or use for this computer?
3) Any special needs.... security, data safety, pure speed, gaming, multimedia and/or graphic intensive, etc. etc.

The reason for these questions is: the computer config depends on it use and needs.
