it is very quiet, especially when done correctly. Primarily, it allows you to use a huge heatsink and a 120mm or larger fan, elminating the need for the fast, loud fans found on air coolers. If you're going into watercooling and are willing to spend the moeny, I would loook into fluidxp. Although I have never used it, it is the porduct that will allow me to comfortably water cool my next system. It's a nonconductive fluid with very similar thermal properties to water. Look up soem reviews it it sounds good. Unfortuantly, it costs $100 a gallon, but if you're really paranoid like me, it mihgt be worth it :)
