Default building a laptop

i want to know is it possible to build a laptop like it is a desktop

well.. since i Never had or looked inside a laptop, im not sure. but i mean, i think it is. Maybe if they sell a laptop case and u can get external parts like a cd drive or somthing... maybe u can do it like that. But i mean i dunno what kind of motherboard they use? a microATX? i really dont know.

It is physically possible and I have been looking for sites that will sell the necessary hardware but I can not find sites that will sell all the hardware needed.

a friend of mine sells laptops for $500

he wont tell me how he can sell them so cheaply

you can buy barebones laptops and custoize them or you could use really small desktop parts like a itx mobo, and build a case for it.

Seriously it will cost you a lot more to make one, because the parts are hard to find, thus they will be expensive.
