Default Building a Gaming PC.. £900-1100 to spend..

Hello

I am looking to build a PC for gaming and i need it to process quickly between programs as i am a coder and need to work between Photoshop and Notepad. I have £900-1100 to spend, i need to build it and put it together within the next 10 days.

Cheers,
Techno

I bought my rig for just over £700.

If its just for that, you really sure you want to spend that much just for doing photoshop etc?

With that money you could get on the 7800s easily.

If your only doing that sorta stuff, I raelly recommend you take your budget down quite considerably.

Here's how I would do it:

Case: your choice

PSU:
Enermax SLI Ready - $88

CPU: AMD 64 3700+ San Diego 939 $278

Mobo: DFI SLI $181

RAM: 2 GB Corsair $212

Video Card:
7800 GTX $480

DVD Burner: NEC DVD Burner $48

Hard Drive: 2x WD 200GB SATA $200

Sound Card: Audigy 2 ZS OEM $71

Total Cost= $1558 w/o shipping
Hell of a system! You could go dual core and opt for better overclocking ram but that's up to you.

Are you going to overclock anything, do you need a mouse, keyboard, speakers?
