Default Build ideas for video editing

I want to build a computer for video editing and would like any and all input. What do you suggest? Thanks!

a nice video card, atleast 512+ ram ddr400 or faster, and i dont know about cpu

it shjould do, however an intel may give you better performance... i am a personal fan of AMD but i must tell you to look into intel for this... and make sure lots of RAM and a large harddrive... atleast a gig of RAM and as much harddrive as you can get.

For stuff like video editing, go for the prescott cpus from intel. The 3.0E will be fine but you can try the newer cpus if you want. You'll want atleast 1 gig of quality ram and a big harddrive.

if you are getting the intel petium 4 processor, you should get this:

Intel "D865PERLL"

if you are getting a amd athlon 64 3000+,3200+, etc
i would get the:

SOLTEK "SL-K8AN2E-GR"
