Default bottlenecks?

Hey there just a real quickie (gotta dash to install a router) anyway, I;ve been suspecting my pc has been running with bottlenecks, my thoughts are RAM speed, clock speeds and my video adapater. What methods do you use in order to find any particular bottlenecks, particular benchmarks for each item?

Any suggestions would be cool, i apologise for not having the time to go into detail though I shan't be long.

Download CPU-z and check everything from there to see if there are any bottlenecks and if your system is running at it's full potential.
