Booting a pc with out ram?

hi jus wondering can u boot a pc up with out ram? because i have a comp in my room just made it amd athlon xp 2700+
ATI RADEON 9250 128MB
SATA 80gig HD
i have no ram atm but could i boot it up any way to have a peak at the bio's if there is no ram installed

you probably wont be able to look at bios...but try it. your mobo "shouldnt" fry if you do.

yeh the comp ran but the first thing that boots up is the graphics card and on the box it says needs a 128MB memory to run. All good but

i tried that, take out the graphics card then try it.

You can't boot without RAM.

you will get a beepy sound

a constant beep infact lol I tried to pull out the one stick of ram whilst a machine was still running for some reason the beep came from the surround sound speakers that were hooked up and they were pretty loud oviously had flicked the dial on the subwoofer next to the pc whilst dragging it out but anyway long story short computer crashed I shat myself leaped up hit my head on the table put it back in and the pc worked fine
