Default Blank screen on new PC

I am in the process of building my media center PC, and am almost done, yet when I turn it on nothing appears??

I tried using both the built in video and an AGP 8x Radeon 9600.

The motherboard is an ECS 741GX-M micro-atx, with a Sempron 2200+ processor, 256 MB Elixir memory, 145 watt Compaq ATX power supply, any ideas on how I can get something to appear on screen?

you think a new power supply will do the trick? how about replacing it with a basic 400W ATX power supply?
