Default bios update

i have a msi motherboard, i went to the websit, downloaded the automatic bios updte file, wouldnt work, frozze up, any advice, my first time doing a bios update, alll opinions app.

did you install it the right way? i think you're supposed to put it on a floppy then boot from it.
