I am having probles with installing windows, and I believe that it might be my old BIOS thet is holding me back. I have an older VIA chipset mobo, P4X400, and its still running the original BIOS v.1.05.

I have to install Windows again, because when I finally installed SP2 on my old rig, it fose immediately after install and never came back to life. I am using identical mobo and CPU as the old one, and I am trying to install Windows with SP2 included.

besides, i think it is time for me to upgrade the BIOS anyway, and I was wondering if you guys have any idea how to do it.

You need to search google or the motherboards manufactures website for a new BIOS. It includes a readME file with instructions.
