Default Better Performance With Lower Multiplier?

I've got a Q6700 with a multiplier that is limited at 10x. Someone told me that it was possible to get better performance by dropping the multiplier and increasing voltage and a few other settings. Is this true? If so, does anyone know the "magic" setting for a Kentsfield Q6700 that would make the most of this chip?

no, a higher multiplier is always best

the reason the person said he got better performance was because he raised the voltage... raising the voltage lets you stabilize otherwise unstable overclocks

lowering the multiplier means raising the FSB which in turn raises the frequency of the RAM which will cause the RAM to be unstable

Higher FSB is a bit better in benchmarks, but that means you'll get a lower overclock, and thats also lower performance, just stick with FSB Increasing
