Which is better? 2 120mm fans or 4 80mm fans

My case already has a 120mm fan intake in the front and a 120mm fan exhuast in the back. My case has room for 2 80mm to fit in front and 2 in back instead of the 120s. Which set up would be better? Will 2 80mm put out more airflow than one 120mm?

2 x 120 = 240
4 x 80 = 320, omg, the 4 is better, nah not really. On average a 120mm fan is going to be quieter while also pushing the same if not more air than an 80mm fan. Stick with 120mm fans if you can fit them.

depends on the fan, how much air can the 120's push compared to the 80's? what is it, CFM that measures it?

Higher ratio is better.

So hypothetically, 2 80mm that put out more CFM total than 1 120mm would be better. Noise level would need to be under acceptable levels, which to me is not that important.
