Default best PC built

hey, im thinking about building a computer and i was wondering what the best and cheapest type of computer i should build. could some1 who has built one help me out plz? thanks

We need to know how far on the best and how far on the cheapest.

The best cheapest computer would be a DFI lanparty, 2 SLI'ed 6800U's, an FX-55 and an FX-57 in the future and 2 gig of gskill ram

im thinking about like an XP or 2000 or somthing.. what out of like a 98 99 2000 ect.. would be best for the money
