Default Best hardware/temp monitoring programs

hi all! i just took the plunge (sorry for the pun!lol) and started watercooling. i won a xspc watercooling kit from ebay and now have it set up. but my question is, what is the best free hardware/temp monitoring program? i have used everest, but for some reason it would not tell me temps. so what programs do you all use to check your cpu temps etc?

p.s. sorry if this has been brought up before, but i searched and cannot find it!

p.s.s. im sorry if this is in the wrong section, but it looked most suitable to me

If everest doesn't work for some reason then try speedfan. If that doesn't work I don't think your motherboard has temp sensors. What motherboars are you using?
