Default best case for price

for a good performing machine, what cases do you guys suggest for good cases? i don't really want anything bad-@ $ $, just something that keeps components cool, yet is quiet.

go to new egg and look for budget cases (make a search in your price range)

well how much are u willing to spend? thermaltakes new case called the tsunami is realyl nice. It comes in black and silver. Here it is. http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/cas-222.html you could prob find it somewhere else cheaper.

i want a relatively quiet case; my current one is driving me crazy and i was going to replace it during the winter, but i decided to just go and build a new one right now

Hmm quiet case go with the antec sonata.

4 silent uv fans, cold cathodes in full tower antec case, round ide cables

SOny vaio 2.66 ht ghz modded into raidmax case with green cold cathodes.
P4 2.8ghz HT, 512mb ddr, Intel KD865gbfl, onboard video, raidmax case, blue cathodes, round ide, loomed wires, 4x dvd burner, wd sata 80gb hard drive
Intel d865perl, 2.8ghz northwood, antec sonata, wd caviar 20gb, Corsair 512mbx1 for now. 380watt psu, ati 9600, dvdrom cdrw floppy in black too match case

no, i dont think i wanna overclock it;

as for the sonata, its a good case, but its kinda bland for my tastes, plus its kinda overpriced
