it usually just a case, motherboard, and processor.

so u get the barebones...n then add-on? why not just buy all the stuff seperately is it like cheaper or something when u buy barebones?

usually, and i use that term carefully, barebone systems come complete with the exception of an OS, i.e. linux, windows, what have ya

Yeah, but I wouldn't recommend them at all. Unless your the type that doesn't know too much about building computers or the type that doesn't want to build the tedious parts; just buy your own and build, much more fun and less money.

you can buy barbone kits off of tiger direct which come wit CPU, RAM Graphic card

they are basicly Do-it-your self kits
