I have seen a post on the forums saying that cool & quiet technology downclocks the cpu when it reaches a certain temperature. Well I did not know what this bios setting was until I read it and have had it enabled for some time. After a few hours of full load gameplay, I experienced some terrible performance and noticed that my cpu temp would not go over 55'c.

Ok, so I have now disabled this setting and am going to test it if it makes a difference after a long period of gaming. What is a safe temperature under load that a athlon 3200 can handle without being damaged?

Also, I am not overclocking my cpu and I am using a third party copper heatsink along with exhaust fans in my case. I used to run my games at full settings and have lowered them to very low-med settings and still have this problem.

Any information or help would be greatly appreciated because I am tired of having such bad performance on my computer after upgrading it.
