Well coolbits is a reg edit so itÂ’s not easy to get rid of. I first used coolbits and then went to ati tools when I had a Nividia card and it seemed there were conflicts. To remove coolbits you will need to set the clocks back to stock and then reinstall your graphics driver. Then you can use ati tools which I think is one of the best overclocking tools out there. You can find various guides to using it here is just one of them:

just remove and reinstall the forceware drivers

I use ATI Tool on my 7900 GT, and it is more stable than coolbits. I can get 750MHZ using ATI Tool (plus my voltmod)

I actually use a tweaked driver on my video card though; the one I'm using right now is ForceWare Ultra 84.66 (I don't like the 9X.XX series)
