Hmm ok, well I'm completely lost.
My graphics card seems to have underlocked itself or something. I tried reformating my comp to get it back to normal, but it didnt work, cuz it installed the programs and stuff again. But anyway, do you think it is damaged or does under/overclock not get reset with reformat? I am trying to save up for a new gfx card but I having massive problems with svchost.exe takins up loads of my ram and making me run SUPER slow:

Would I be better off saving up for a new card? I want to get a geforce 5700 but not untill this problem is sorted out. What do you think is best?

Well, the 5700 is a terrible card. How much are you looking to spend?

When things underclock themselves, it is usually because of damage to the card itself.

5700's are the best PCI cards available. The 6 series and X series are PCI-E mainly.
