Default Athlon 64 Major price cutting coming up

For everyone considering it, i'm definitly gonna get me self one

The Athlon 64 3000+ CPU due to be released in couple of days, will use the K8 (Clawhammer) core running at 1.8GHz, sporting 1MB of L2 on die cache memory. AMD is going to make a radical pricecut of its 64 bit CPU's, just after the Christmas!

The entry-level Athlon 64 should cost around $225, which is a really neat price, compared to $400+ of the current entry-level model (the 3200+).

Early in January, we should expect AMD to release the Athlon64 3400+, but pricing of this CPU is still a mistery to most analysts
