I have an Asus L3000 laptop that keeps overheating and turning off. I've purchase an antec usb cooling pad containing two fans. Still overheats, so I'm thinking there is a bad fan. I have search hell and half of europe for a replacement fan and can't find anything. Does anyone know where to start? Machine also has an ATI mobile radion graphics card, so it could possibly be that fan causing problems.

Thanks!!!

you may have a hardware cooling failure inside the laptop. i would guess the CPU is overheating. someone will have to inspect the hardware inside for you. i think taking that laptop into a shop is your only solution unless it is still covered by a warranty.

Well it was a client of mine that built it and I'm in the middle of dragging their but to court for not paying their bills. So working with them on this machine is out of the question. I can do the work myself if I can just find the fans I need.
