you love arguing with others opinions dont you, i'm sry if you people have the money or ability to get a hold of an 8800 but i could care less as i see them as pointless right now as nothing can utilize them right now

On topic:

Isnt Socket 775 going out, or is that the newest one? I don't keep up much on Intel products, mainly because their cheap stuff sucks, and their expensive stuff is the best, and I only use cheap stuff. (and that is why I love AMD).

775 has been out for a while.. and i've heard no word on 775 leaving any time soon

I hope 775 stays with the new cores coming out like Peryn.


It would save me a lot of money and is primarily the reason I dumped my 939 set up.

aspire, do you need to buy a new waterblock for that? or is your current one compatible with 775?

My waterblock, the Aquaxtreme mp-1 is compatible with just about all cpu sockets.
