just did a quick google, this site says that the "new P4 2.8" (lol) runs at 133 x 21 = 2.8GHZ

thats odd I have a 2.8 and it runs at 200fsb and 14x multiplier.

That's becuase your basicly overclocking the front side bus. The CPU or mobo must sense the FSB difference, and set the multiplier down. See if you can raise the multiplier though :P

I was thinking 200/266 fsb for some reason ddr 200 x 2 = 400 , hm i donno . lol , but anywho ya it says on my main board that i can run upto 2 gigs of ddr 400 ram butr i have 3 slots for ram wich means by all means i can run 3 gigs , so i dont what they are saying either.

a motherboard won't automatically lower the multiplier if the FSB is changed

IOm lost! im nerly there but i wont rest until that extra 110mhz is mine... thats like a 30th of the processor im missing out on..cummon guys, lets squeeze this cpu till it dies!

your motherboard supports up to a 533MHZ FSB
is your P4 2.8 supposed to have an 800MHZ FSB?

My p2.8 is 533. my mobo supports up to 800fsb. fsb is currently very low like 200 or sumamt crazy. the bus (not fsb, just BUS) is way over 800.
