To be honest, theres no point in them on even most CRTs nowadays, but, I would be safe and leave one on, because i'm sure it cant be ood leaving it on one image for that long!

I don't use one, but I turn my monitor off when I'm not using it.

If i do leave it, its for maybe an hour at the most, its just i figured like most electrical things, if you kept turning them on and off thats just as bad if not worse than leaving it on? correct me if im wrong.

Not in all cases.

That usually just applies to motherboards/CPU's, since the heat they produce will cause the components to expand and shrink, which will eventually cause damage. If it's on constantly, it will maintain temperature and not expand/shrink.

I doubt this applies to monitors.

yes^ it's safe to leave it on...but i'm not sure about the turning it off and on all the time will hurt it. but for sure, leaving it on will do nothing bad imagewise.
