Default ANNOYING problem

i just made a pc and when i get into counter strike on it i get 100fps constant in game btw... but ill go to refresh the server list and it will slows the **** out of my computer while the server list is refreshing?! i have friends with half the computer that i do and it doesnt do that to them... I watch the fps during the server refresh and it jumps from 4fps all the way to 40-50 and back down again... any ideas?

er....if its only the server browser getting low fps

then why would it be a problem ? as it doesnt affect gameplay

but ya in cs's server browser, i get weird framerates ranging from 5-999

PC Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe 2.13ghz
Gigabyte P35-S3 Motherboard
A-DATA 2x1GB DDR2 800mhz memory
