They are not bad little chips. For budget machines they would be excellent, as they would run pretty cool as well. With the reduced cache, they are just the Celeron's of the Core2 series, and happen to be given the name Pentium. :-\

I was talking about the Prescott not the new ones, but I do know what you are talking about.

And I know that the p4 should do better, my other friend's old rig was p4 3.4ghz and it was matching and sometimes beating my old athlon 3400+, it really depended what day of the week it was. I think it was a few reasons he was running so slow, but the p4 was a big reason.
