AMD Sempron 3300+ on a Asus K8v-X se

WELL, i've read around quite a bit, and understand overclocking to a small degree. Bus speeds, and voltage and stuff.... BUT I'm no where comfortable taking on the endeavor by myself, and just starting to change settings left and right, and hope like ****.. THOUGh I've already discovered that my BIOS has a built in little feature, that will tell me OVERCLOCK FAILED... which is all I've managed to attain so far.


If anyone wishes to help me get this slow beast actually running decently, just help me out, tell me what information you need? I do have CPU-Z installed, and CPUDid hardware monitor to watch out for temperatures..

Any other suggestions for software I would need? AND.... Please help me out with the actual overclocking bit, walk me through? Somethin', anything. : ) Everything is appreciaited! : )

Before you do anything you'll need to know how far you're able to go temperature wise.

What type of cooling do you have and what is your processors temp at stock speeds right now?
