The disclaimers are basically there to cover their rear's. The risk is really minimal.^ nice guide, but I still wouldn't do it, I'm no risk taker

This is more to do with what you said earlier something like "I think on my 6000+ my IHS is soldered to the core"...on my old X550 i took of the heatsink and took half the core with it..woops
the metal thing that's covering the CPU die.

stock, its close...depending on who you ask it is right at it or about 150-200 points lower. not a big deal IMO.
lol but watch when they overclock the 6600 to like 3.2...ouch.

MOST AMAZING CONCERT EVER!! hahaha.. i was screaming, and skankin' (moshing i guess) so hard i almost passed out several times... most likely cuz of dehydration!!! hahaha
and im' considering building a 2nd rig really soon..and that phenom black edition is catching my eye

sweet deal. do you know when the x48 boards are coming out? cause I really wanna pick up a e8500 and a x48 board if they come out before February. I'm really stoked to get a 4+ ghz cpu.
