Hello all! I have an AMD Duron 900. I have been able to overclock this slightly to 945 mhz (or so) by increasing the fsb in the bios. Anything past that freezes the computer at boot and I have to reset the bios and set it back. However it works fine at that speed.
After that, I decided to use the graphite method to unlock changing the frequency multipliyer thinking I might be able to get a better combination. However, once I did this, I can't overclock at all! it runs fine at 900 mhz but anything over that causes a freeze at boot. I put graphite over each of the L2 caches points. I also put the pencil graphite over the L7 cache leads. Is doing this supposed to unlock the options of frequency multiplier and voltage control in the bios? Because it didn't.

Can somebody point me onto what I did wrong? = P
