Default AMD buys ATI for 5.4billion

I cant decide if this makes me sad or what. Wonder how it will effect the market. Now amd will be competing with intel and nvidia.

maybe next.. intel will buy nvidia lol

i kinda saw this coming with all the amd computer that had onboard ati chipsets and all that, so its no big surprise to me... but maybe this could lead to better driver support from ati.. not that i know of any problems seeing as i've never had an ati besides that onboard crap

They're simply going with the market. nvidia is dominating right now, so they have to go with whats most marketable.

Maybe they'll pump out some nice (nonoverpriced) gaming pcs.
