Default amd athlon 64 3500+ ???

ok so i have 2 of these.

The one has screws for the fan to come off the heatsink.

Its a socket 939.

The other doesn't and i was wondering how to get it off?

The fan is getting noisy and i wanted to replace it with another fan that i just bought for my cpu.

Its a thermaltake blower.

if anybody knows how that would be great.

I don't think it's made to come off.

oh well i put that other cpu fan on and took the screws off.

Now the blower is hooked up...
The holes didn't match up but thats what drills are for.

My cpu idle is now 89ºf instead of 100ºf.

it is? I live in america and don't know what 40ºc is in F.

i just checked back in bios and it says idle temp is 107ºF.

I was wondering how hot a cpu has to get before the pc restarts.

never mind i got some...

the blower wasn't good enough on the hs so i had to put the stock fan back on.

I found out that the stock fan wasn't what was loud.

It is the graphics card fan thats loud cause its messed up and scraping screws.

Wait wait wait ... You're planning on drilling holes in the motherboard so that it will fit? LOL
