My new Athlon 64 3500+ CPU was measured at 46 degrees at start up using cool and quiet. is this good or should i get some better cooling?

yea and if you have a good copper heatsink and good fan on there even during the biggest load ur cpu temp wont go over 50C.. because copper does one hell of a job dissipating heat ;) lol

wow circa you have the exact computer im about to start building. minus the case and hd.but ya those temps should be alright at idle temps.post up after you have ran your comp through benchmarks and stuff and let me know how it does

Copper is the best at absorbing heat. Aluminum is what you need to dissipate.
