Am I overclocking?

Well, I am monitoring temps of my new computer, and although they are kinda normal, they I think should be lower.




Intel Core i7 920 with stock CPU fan. (already purchased Cooler Master v8)

nah, you don't have an overclock on...it's just the turbo mode enabling the multi to be 21x with a 22x on n core 0

It's better to OC through the BIOS than through software if you're gonna OC your CPU. OC'ing your GPU through software is ok, though.

I do not wanna overclock though, I was just tampering with a few things.

On a side note, I ordered the Cooler Master V8 Heat Sink. Is it gonna be good? link

The Cooler Master V8 is a decent cooler, but it's far from the best. Wish you would of asked us 1st before you bought it.

For someone who doesn't want to overclock it will be fine. But should you ever decide to do some it will leave you wanting more. The best in my opinion for cooling the i7 on air is the True Copper, like Slaymate has... He's gets some wicked sick runs off of it
