Question ALright... what is going on.

Alright... i got a new computer and when It says the temp is for my cpu#2 is running at 70*C... i only have one processor which doesnt go hot... like 26*C idle (Amd Athlon 3200+ no ocing) and yeah... what else could the monitor be sensing at 70*C?

its probably just a bad sensor...

try touching your northbridge heatsink, and see if it feels anyway near 70.

Could be video card?

AMD boards have a really bad reputation for putting out bad temp readings.

nothing is oced and my house isnt warm at all + whne i put my hand in the cimputer and feel around nothing feels like there is heat coming off of it.

Then as joshd said it's probs a bad sensor..
And what are you using to take these readings? bios?
