Default Air duct

This seems like a dumb question but my new case im getting has an air duct on it. When the fan is mounted on it should it blow air in or out?

the case should have more than one fan if it doesnt then you might want to concider another case...one fan needs to blow in and the other fan needs to blow out as to circulate the air through the case resulting in the better cooling.

Depends where it is:

Font: Blowing into case
Side: Blowing into case
Back: Blowing out of case
Top: Blowing out of case

ok iknow what case he is atlking about as it was discussed in a previus thread

it is the aspire x-plorer
stock it has an air duct on the side which is basically a funnel that delivers cooler air to the hsf however this air duct can be taken out and replaced with a fan if desired
