Default Advantages/ Disadvantages of overclocking

Hey guys, I just wanted your opinion on the advantages and disadvantages of overclocking your CPU. Also could you give me a step by step process on how to do it.

Advantages

Getting more out of your products without spending teh big bucks

Disadvantages

You can fry your stuff and make them dead, then you have to buy a whole new set

Advantages:
- More speed
- Better gameplay
- Saves money (performance of something that costs much more)
- Bragging rights!

Disadvantages:
- None if you do it right.
