8800gts OC problems, help!

By the means of double, while looking at the Mem clock on the ATi Tool, I take the Mem clock and multiply it by 2. Then that's what my memory is suppose to be correct? Or is it suppose to be 1540 when I look at the Mem clock on ATi tool?

u multiply it by 2, Atitool only shows 770

Since nobody has explained DDR yet I will throw it out there.
DDR stands for Double Data Rate (this has been mentioned).
RAM operates by transmitting its data to a beat, this beat is set by the timings you choose when overclocking, most of you should be familiar with this. Every time the beat rises (just like a drum) your ram processes its information. The breakthrough with DDR is that it will process information once with the beat rises (the crest) and then again when it falls (the trough). Hence the RAM is performing twice as fast without having to transmit twice as much data at once!
