That palit guy was selling you bs. Its known that a 256bit interface cant properly address anything over 512mb. And benchmarks can always be manipulated......


But ill see what i do...i get good enough performance now anyways.

I considered that, but he is a pretty reliable source apparently since he was supposed to be a big guy from tom's hardware.

Still, the benchmarks he showed can't be all ****.

A card can and does properly adress more than 256mb of ram despite the 256mbit bus.

Look at the huge performance gap in between the 256 and 512mb 8800gt cards at high res.

The 256'ers just get left in the dust.

sell your card... keep your cooler... and grab an MSI 8800gts 512mb and throw ur cooler on that

yeah the msi cooler is probably better actually. Would be better off selling the Akimbo cooler on the bay.
