they're the same price and i like to dl a lot so

they're both $75 so what are you'lls opinions.
how much faster is sata compared to regular
 
I just built my system below, love my seagate SATA 80G....Not a lot faster than IDE, but I like it better. And the cables are much thinner, take up a lot less space....equals better air flow. That is my two cents.
 
SATA are not a lot faster, most people are waiting for SATA300 next year.

Personally I would go for the 160GB hard drive and get some round IDE cables :)
 
yup sounds like a good thing to do or if u dont plan on trying to build a scale model of the universe on ur comp go for a smaller hd i have a 80gb and i never get it above 65gb
 
80 GB is pretty big but I try and get at least over 100 GB of hard drive space in each system I build.
