6600gt help

im ocing my chaintech 6600gt w/ little luck. i cant raise the memory frequency past 1.07 ghz at a core clock of 561 mhz. ive seen on this site that a lot of people have theirs set at 550/1100. wuts the deal. my temps at most don't go past 77 degrees celcius.

77 is getting a little dangerous there. and 1100 memory frequency is probably w/ adequate cooling

yah, but i thought 6600gts run hot.

and my amient temp (according to everest) is 39 degrees celcius. but nvidia monitor shows 51 degrees right now.

Now how hot it runs depends on what stock cooling you have. I know the eVGA, Leadtek, and AOpen stock fans are very nice.

Yes, greatly. You could pump out past 600 clock and 1.10 Ghz memory
