Yo, I have an AMD 4200+ socket 939
on an asus a8ne mobo.

I want to know which settings I should put, since there's no way on that board to touch the fsb (unless I misunderstood something)
I can touch the cpu clock speed (200 in my case)
and the multiplier (11)
I can also touch the voltage

I tried to set it at 326 cpu clock speed
with a multiplier of 8
voltage of 1.5v

I couldn't manage to get past the bios opening.
I then dropped my clock speed to 310 with same voltage, same thing happened

so I thought "****! I'm on a computer forum somewhere on the net!"

Discuss!
thank you!

You DRAM ratio could be stopping you. It's possible that your memory is set to 2:1 or something around those lines. You may need to drop it to a lower ratio, or up the RAM voltage. Good luck. :).

Edit: The longer version...

You ram mhz are based off of your CPU mhz, so if you have it set to 200 x 11, you have a 2200mhz cpu, but your ram is also 200 x (whatever ratio you have it set to, 2:1 = 400mhz, 3:1 = 600mhz, etc.)

So if you were to drop the ratio a little bit, the mhz of your ram goes down, but it may give you stability.
