I was looking at a Rosewill case on Newegg and it says it has a 400w psu with P4 support. Will a AMD work with that?

Yea it does, it means it has the 4pin connector and the other AT looking connector to go on an older 478 motherboard. Also any 20pin PSU will support AMD.

yeah sure, that is why my old p1 120mhz says p4 on the PSU.

Some psu's might say that they are Pentium 4 and Athlon 64 ready, but that simple p4 sticker/stamp means nothing about any cpu.

P6 is even out. This is a 166 level processor.

P4 refers to some REALLY oldskool pre 166 processor.

Intel cannot copywright "p4" but they can copywright pentium

ya think?

Edit: I did some research and sometimes it might say P4 on the PSU or molex connectors indicating that 4x4pin connectors are native on the psu itself.
