how do u return it back to 2900pro if it messes up?

Most likely you can just do the exact same thing but put the 2900pro bios on the drive.

I would recommend having that bios on the disk already because if the flash did fail you could end up with no video at all. I had that problem when trying to flash a 6800gto to a quadro, but a flash back fixed it.

But my flash of my x1800gto went flawlessly. ATI seems to be good for flashing bios, 9500 could flash to 9700, lower models of x800 could flash to higher ones, x1800gto to x1800xt.

but it maybe possible to do it with an ultra and 8800gtx...

there are some excellent Nforce 500 series boards.
You can still use a 2900 Pro with a Foxconn C51XEM2AA or an eVGA 590

it says u have to format the flash drive with the FAT file system, what is that?

i want to try this once i get a 2900 Pro, nice find!!
